After a wild day of thunder, lightning, snow, sleet and breezy winds, light freezing drizzle is the only thing expected from a winter storm that dumped up to 12 inches of snow across areas of mid-Missouri.

There's still some precipitation showing up on the radar. This will probabaly add a few more slick spots to what is already present. I expect the precipitation to slowly come to and end after midnight. Roads however are still hazardous for travel. We'll see some big improvements to the roads by Friday afternoon.

I encourage you to look through the grahpics to see some of the snow totals. Columbia Regional Airport set a Daily Maximum Snowfall record today of 9.7 inches. The previous record was 1.8 inches from 1907.
