After spending most of the week with below normal temperatures, a big warm up is heading for the heart of the Show-Me State.

Despite cloud cover and light rain, high temperatures on Thursday will be well above the seasonal average in the mid-upper 60s. Winds may be gusty at times from the south. Even warmer temperatures are in store to close out the workweek as highs surge into the lower-mid 70s - giving Mid-Missouri temperatures nearly 20 degrees above normal.

Cooler weather will return for the weekend with highs in the lower 50s.  Rain chances enter the picture starting late Saturday through Monday.
