After pleasant mid-week temperatures, another blast of cold air has moved into the Show-Me State.  Temperatures will be below normal on Thursday, with cloudy skies and brutal wind chills in the single digits/teens.  Clouds will linger in the overnight hours as moisture surges in from the south.  That moisture will interact with the cold air in the atmosphere and bring the chance of a wintry mix for Mid-Missouri.

Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible for most of the area with light snow possibly mixing in north of I-70.  All of the precipitation should move out by sunrise Friday.  Accumulations will be minor with untreated roads and elevated surfaces posing the biggest risk for slick spots.  Temperatures will then warm above normal before cooling down for the first half of the weekend.
