A few minor accumulations are possible as light snow fallls through tomorrow morning.

Mid-Missouri received a wide range of snow accumulation February 25-26. The following are totals as reported by the National Weather Service and KRCG 13 viewers:

Moberly - 12.0"
Versailles - 12.0"
Sedalia - 10.5"
Columbia - 9.0"
Centralia - 8.8"
Gravois Mills - 8.0"
Mexico - 7.0"
Holts Summit - 6.5"
Hickory Hill - 5.0"
Bland - 2.0"

The second winter storm of the past week has finally tapered off today. The low pressure system that brought us heavy, wet snow across mid-Missouri is now centered over the Illinois/Indiana border and will continue to weaken and move northeast.

Snow accumulations range from 12 inches in Moberly to 2 inches in Vienna. Several power outages were reported due to trees landing on powerlines.

The storm system has encountered a lot of dry air over the afternoon hours, allowing for some of the moisture in the storm to evaporate. However, there is still enough energy within the storm to power light snow showers this evening and throughout the day tomorrow. Expected accumulations should be minor; between 1-2 inches.

After this system moves out of our area, we will stay consistently cool in the middle to upper 30s until early next week. The next chance for precipitation could be next Monday evening going into next Tuesday.

Stay with the StormVision Weather Center for more updates throughout the rest of the night.
