We're about halfway through the meteorological months of December through February and compared to last year, they're almost identical.

It's been slightly warmer this year with an average temperature of 37.4 degrees compared to winter of 2011-2012, which averaged 37.0 degrees.

We've already received more snowfall than last winter. So far for the 2012-2013 winter season we've received 4.2 inches of snowfall, while last winter season (2011-2012) we received 2.3 inches.

Total precipitation, which includes melted snowfall, for the 2012-2013 season we've received 2.27 inches. Last season, we received 3.67 inches.

What are your thoughts on the second half of the winter season?  Will it be colder or warmer? Will we see above average temperatures continue? Leave your comments below.
