Temperatures could break records across mid-Missouri on Friday! Gusty winds from the south will help highs soar into the mid-upper 60s!

Unfortunately, it won't last long. A strong cold front will move through the Midwest overnight and cause our temperatures to fall through most of the day on Saturday.

That front will then stall, interact with the moisture in place and possibly produce some rain showers late in the day.

As temperatures drop late Saturday, we'll likely see a wintry mix that will then transition into snow in the overnight hours. All precipitation should come to an end by sunrise Sunday.

Early data suggests mid-Missouri will receive 1-2 inches of snow. Temperatures will then remain cold to start next week.
