A 40-year-old Columbia man died after a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon.

Michael Roseman was driving his red 1996 Kawasaki ZX9R westbound on Broadway, approaching the Scott Boulevard curve in the outside traffic lane, when the motorcycle collided with the concrete curb in front of 4215 Wales Drive at about 3 p.m.

Roseman was thrown off the motorcycle. Both he and the motorcycle ended up off the roadway in the grass.

EMS took Roseman to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.

Authorities said Roseman did not have a motorcycle endorsement and his driver's license was revoked.
