A Jefferson City man found guilty of killing two people in a drunk driving crash will learn his fate Friday afternoon.

Police said on August 31, 2011, Damien Bryan caused a car crash on Rumsey Lane when he tried to drive across Route C.

A Kansas woman and a Russellville man were killed as a result of that crash.

In September 2012, a mistrial was called in Damien Bryan's first trial in Cole County Court because of a piece of information given during testimony by a drug testing official.

The officer gave information regarding Bryan's prior offenses, which the jury was not supposed to hear unless given by the defendant himself during testimony.

After a request from public defender Heather Vodnansky, the judge agreed to move the trial to Camden County.

In October 2012 the Camden County jury found Damien Bryan guilty of two-counts of second-degree murder and driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender.
