After a pleasant first half of the weekend, frigid air is filtering into Mid-Missouri. The combination of a strong cold front and a dip in the jet stream is bringing arctic air into the Show-Me State.  Temperatures on Monday will be roughly 15 degrees below normal in the lower 20s.

Temperatures will start to warm a bit by Wednesday as highs will be above freezing in the 30s.  A cold front will approach Mid-Missouri Thursday bringing a chance of rain and possibly a wintry mix.  Temperatures should finally be above average by the weekend.
