Man passes out then leads high speed chase

CALLAWAY COUNTY -- Callaway County deputies arrested a man after an early morning high speed chase.

Just before 4:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a report of a vehicle parked at the intersection of State Road AD and State Road C in Hams Prairie where the driver was unresponsive.

A deputy tried to make contact with Shane Vandelicht, the driver, but he sped away.

The 21-year-old led authorities in a pursuit on State Road C toward Fulton.

Vandelicht's car later hit spike strips and eventually came to a rest.

Deputies arrested Vandelicht for DWI–drug intoxication, resisting arrest, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and careless and imprudent driving.
