David Hosier's double-murder trial has been delayed indefinitely.

The love-triangle case against the man accused of killing Rodney and Angela Gilpin in Jefferson City more than three years ago was to be heard this week, but the court couldn't qualify a jury.

The panel was to be imported from Clay County, where 125 individuals were called.

Cole County prosecutor Richardson says a minimum of 39 people needed to be qualified, from which the final jury and alternates would be chosen.

But claims of hardship and prejudices regarding the death penalty made that number unreachable, so the attorneys will meet Friday with Judge Pat Joyce to decide which county can be tapped next for the jury pool and to discuss when the trial can be rescheduled.
