Spring break was this week for students at the University of Missouri, and you can bet most of them will pass off studying for finals during that time.

But with the economy still in recovery mode, some chose to stay closer to home to get their fill of Spring Break fun.

For many, the Lake of the Ozarks might be their perfect fun destination, mainly because of the beautiful weather that's expected all week long.

The Osage Beach Police Department is still gearing up to help travelers of all kinds.

They say their main goal is just to keep everyone safe.

"We always anticipate a larger influx of population when the weather is like this, so we hope for visitors and look forward to having them," said Sgt. Arlyne Page with the Osage beach Police Department.

Many lake-area bars and restaurants said that they are happy to accomodate any out-of-towners, and they do have several happy hours and special price nights nights going all week long.
