The team of Budweiser Clydesdales is getting some reinforcements -- more than two dozen foals born this year. The foaling season is now over at Warm Springs Ranch, the breeding facility for Budweiser Clydesdales located near Boonville.

The ranch said Thursday that 28 foals were born between February and June -- 18 fillies (females) and 10 colts

The ranch is now open for group tours because of public demand.

“We have mares," General Manager of Clydesdale Operations Jim Poole told KRCG when the facility first opened. "We have foals. We have stallions. We have, actually, some of the geldings that star in some of the most famous TV commercials ever filmed. There are lots of things for the people to see.”

The ranch allows you to get a behind-the-scenes look at how they breed Clydesdales. Every year, between 30 and 40 Clydesdale foals are born at Warm Springs Ranch.

“Economic development in rural Missouri is almost at a standstill," Republican State Representative Kenny Jones of California said when the tours started in April of 2010. "This is a really good tourist attraction and economic development tool that we are proud to have here in Cooper County.”

Guided tours of 15 to 60 guests by reservation only last about 90 minutes.  Each tour includes a meet-and-greet with the Clydesdales, a stop at the gift shop and much, much more.

Warm Springs Ranch will be open every day at 10 a.m. through October.
