COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Rick Carter, an assistant coach the last four years at Western Michigan with ties to that state's high school and AAU circuits, has been added to Missouri coach Frank Haith's staff.
Haith said Tuesday that Carter was a talented coach and a "relentless recruiter."
Carter has also been an assistant at Fairfield and was a graduate assistant at Michigan State from 2003-06.
While at Western Michigan, Carter helped recruit David Kool, named Mr. Basketball in Michigan as a high school senior. Kool twice led the Mid-American Conference in scoring and was named MAC player of the year in 2010.
