PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Tiger Woods says his health is better and his game is progressing as he returns to Pebble Beach for the first time in eight years to play the U.S. Open.

No one, however, is counting on another 15-shot victory by Woods.

This is only his fifth tournament of the year, and he has managed to finish only 13 rounds. Woods still is not sharp, except when it comes to answering questions about his personal life. One reporter asked if there had been a resolution to his marriage, and Woods barked back, "That's none of your business."

Woods played 13 holes of practice before calling it a day because the back nine was clogged with players on a chilly morning.
