The Philadelphia Eagles still need a little help to get into the NFC playoffs, but they gave themselves a boost by dominating the Cleveland Browns Monday night.

The Eagles are 8-5-and-1 following their third straight win, a 30-10 rout of the Browns. Donovan McNabb passed for 290 yards and two touchdowns as the Eagles stayed a half-game out of a playoff berth.

Philly reached the red zone in all seven of its possessions with McNabb under center, but the Eagles came away with only two touchdowns and had to settle for three field goals by David Akers.

Asante Samuel put the Eagles ahead 17-3 by returning an interception 50 yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter. And Jason Avant notched his first 100-yard receiving game, finishing with 101 on five catches.

The Eagles still have to win their final two games and need Atlanta or Tampa Bay to lose once to secure a playoff berth.

The 4-and-10 Browns lost their fourth in a row.
