Update Dec. 19 10:45pm

We're learning more about the new owners of the Capital Mall in Jefferson City.

The News Tribune reports Jefferson City developer Mike Farmer will buy the mall from General Growth Properties and that Farmer filed paperwork with Cole County Wednesday.

Farmer owns Midwest Block and Brick, and Farmer Concrete among other ventures.

KRCG could not reach Farmer for comment Wednesday evening for comment on his plans for the mall.

Original story:

As we told you Monday, General Growth Properties has sold the mall to an unnamed buyer.

All General Growth would tell us is Tuesday is that they still own the Columbia Mall.

Capital Mall management would not return our calls.

The Capital Mall website lists some 41 stores, restaurants,  businesses and services inside, but the Columbia Mall lists 111.

We're asking shoppers to tell us what they would like to see in a revitalized mall in Jefferson City.  Leave a comment or sound off on our Facebook page.
