Two Mid-Missouri men are kicking up dirt as professional drivers in the World Series of Outlaws. Danny Lasoski is a Dover Missouri native and has been doing what he describes as strapping himself to a rocket for 26 years.

Danny Lasoski said "I'm probably the original World of Outlaw guy because these World of Outlaw guys have probably a 70 race schedule but I race everywhere and I have 102 on my schedule this year."

Brian Brown's schedule is just as demanding and includes traveling to 20 states. His roots still remain in Missouri.

Brian Brown told us, "Actually I grew up in Higginsville but right now I live in Green Valley so we are very proud to be from Missouri."

These guys find it thrilling to drive a 1200 pound, 900 horsepower winged Sprint car every week. Brian explained one of the major challenges as a Sprint car driver

.Brian Brown explained, " There aren't mirrors, you really have to pay attention to what is going on. I feel like some of the wing Sprint car drivers are synonymous, they are some of the best racers in the world.

Reporter Carissa Biele said, "For these two competitors, dirt-track racing is truly a family tradition."

Danny is Brian's uncle. They both have talent and they both have the same goal this season; Winning the Knoxville Nationals.

The Knoxville Nationals are scheduled for August 8th.
