WARDSVILLE -- In a matchup of two standout pitchers in Mid-Missouri, Travis Henke and Blair Oaks edged Kelly Fick and Helias 3-1.

Blair Oaks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 4th inning when Falcon junior Andrew Pointer doubled to centerfield.

Blair Oaks added two more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning when Falcon senior Travis Henke doubled to rightfield making the score 3-0.

Helias added a run in the top of the 7th when Fick singled to centerfield.

With the tying runs on 2nd and 3rd, the Crusader rally would fall short as Henke notched his 6th strikeout for the game's final out.

Fick struck out 8 of the first  9 batters he faced and pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts.
