Josh Buffington is taking over as head basketball coach at Helias High School.   Buffington is leaving the School of the Osage where he led the Indians basketball program the past three seasons.   Before that, he worked as an assistant basketball coach at Missouri Baptist University.   Buffington is a graduate of New Bloomfield High School, where he also coached one season.

Buffington replaces Hall of Fame head coach Jerry Buescher who resigned under pressure earlier this month.  Buescher had over 800 wins in 40 years of coaching.
