This is the second oldest high school football rivalry this side of the Mississippi River. Lately it's highlighted the final week of the regular season. Again this year, a district championship and playoff births are on the line.
The Jays are 2-0 in district play following two blowout victories. J.C. can win the district title with a win over the Kewps. Hickman (1-1 in district games) is also coming off a big win over Troy. The Kewpies need a victory to have a chance at post-season play. As they often say in this rivalry game...you can throw the records out the window.
The better team doesn't always win.
