(AP) -- ROLLA, Mo. (AP) -- A farming village in Guatemala is getting help on a water distribution project from three Missouri college students.
The three are members of the Engineers Without Borders chapter at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The Rolla school says members of the group have made five other trips to the Central American country.
A 430-foot well has already been completed. The next step is building an elevated steel water tank which the Missouri students are designing. The tank will eventually be connected to 14 miles of pipe to bring drinking water to the village.
While in Guatemala this month, the students plan to meet with Guatemalan contractors to solicit construction bids.
