Three injured in Columbia drive-by shooting

COLUMBIA -- The Columbia Police Department is investigating a series of shootings Tuesday night, injuring 3 people.

At about 9:45 p.m Tuesday, callers reported hearing the shots in the area of Greenridge Road and Skyview Road and also the area of Woodland Drive and Blue Ridge Road to Joint Communications. 

Officers found 2 victims, both 18-year-old black males, with gunshot wounds when they arrived to the area of Woodland Drive and Blue Ridge Road.  One was treated at the scene for a gunshot wound to the hand and the other was taken to University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Later, a third victim was reported to be at the University Hospital Emergency Room being treated for gunshot wounds to his left forearm and hand.

The investigation revealed that occupants of two cars were shooting at each other at Greenridge Road and Skyview Road. Officers recovered multiple shell casings in the area. 

Two residences and two cars were struck by gunfire.

Police say the victims are being uncooperative and the investigation is ongoing. There is no suspect information at this time.
