There is little to no water pressure for many Jefferson City homes this morning.
Christie Barnhart, the external affairs manager for Missouri American Water company told us they are aware of the outage.
There is an issue at the plant with a broken 6-inch water line. The broken line delivers water to the treatment plant.
The problem will affect the company's entire service area.
Missouri American Water is working on resolving the problem and will be in contact with us here at KRCG 13 with updates.

Several tractor trailer tankers with potable water are being sent to the Cole County Jail. Until they get there, the Sheriff's Department has brought in water for inmates and staff. They are also trying to provide the jail kitchen with water to prepare meals.
