After being named as a suspect, he cooperated with Columbia police
A 22-year-old man was arrested for robbing the Tiger Stop Convenience Store, located at 3500 Clark Lane, early Monday.
Alexander Watson was caught on video surveillance breaking the glass of the front door and stealing several bottles of alcohol. Although he wore dark clothing, including a black mask, Watson was listed as a suspect because he had recently been fired from the store and fit the suspect description.
Watson voluntarily went to Columbia Police on Wednesday for questioning. He admitted his involvement and cooperated with authorities so they could recover the remaining two bottles of alcohol, as well as the car jack used to break the glass door and the dark clothing worn during the burglary.
He was arrested for second degree burglary with a $4,500 bond.
