(AP) -- SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Springfield police say crews have recovered the body of a 75-year-old woman from a Springfield lake.

Police Lt. Scott Umbarger says the woman was driving in a sport-utility vehicle when she veered left and went into the lake Saturday.

The Springfield News-Leader reports (http://sgfnow.co/nRArjf ) that the first call to police came in just before 5 p.m., and the woman was dead when police arrived at the scene.

The woman's name had not been released.
