COLUMBIA -- Columbia Police are investigating a burglary at a movie theater.

Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. an officer went to Hollywood 14 Theater at 2800 Goodwin Pointe Drive for a burglary.

Police said two burglars got into the safe at the movie theater and took an undisclosed amount of money.

They also said early in the morning between 2-4 a.m., which is when some employees arrived, the twosome broke into the office area of the theater and cut the phone lines to the business and left.

The investigation is ongoing.
