About 100 people came out to get answers from the Southern Boone County School Board Tuesday night.

They wanted to know more than what was in a 16 page report looking into allegations of favoritism, wasteful spending, and other problems.

The main focus was on an incident involving improper contact, including texting between a district employee and a 16 year old student.

While investigators found nothing illegal, the former board president and school superintendent never brought the matter to the full board.

Parents were concerned that police were never brought in to investigate.

Many in the audience have lost confidence in Superintendent Charlotte Miller, but couldn't get an answer as to whether board members had too.

When we asked the same question a woman in the audience got angry and came to the board's defense.

People also wanted to know if board members knew of the conflict between the former board president and school payments to her catering company.

People leaving the three hour meeting said they are sad their district now has a black-eye because of small town politics.

They said they used to be proud of their school and now a word commonly used to describe the district is "corrupt".

A former school board member said Miller must go before the district can even start to repair any of the damage done.
