ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The dean of Saint Louis University's law school has resigned amid disputes with university leadership.
The Rev. Lawrence Biondi, the university's president, said Annette Clark's position as dean was to be terminated at a meeting Wednesday. But Biondi told faculty and staff by email that Clark didn't wait for the meeting and submitted a resignation letter instead.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Clark expressed frustration with the university's handling of a decision to move the law school to a vacant building downtown. Clark wrote that the decision was made "without any notice or consultation with the law school leadership."
Clark says she'll remain a professor at the university. Biondi said attorney Thomas Q. Keefe Jr., of Belleville, Ill., will serve as law school dean for the next year.
