Spontaneous combustion was the cause of a weekend barn fire near Hallsville.
Investigators said some overheated grass clippings caused the fire on Sunday afternoon on North Phillipe Road.
The fire destroyed a barn, a shed and several vehicles.
Boone County and Columbia firefighters had the flames under control in less than an hour.
No one was hurt.
Fire officials estimate the damage is about $30,000.
Property owner Donn Bennish told KRCG 13 that he was just about to take a nap when a neighbor saw the fire and called 911.
