Golfers from the Jefferson City area hit the greens for a good cause on Saturday at Railwood Golf Club in Holts Summit.
Family members and volunteers held their third annual Margaret Romph Benefit Golf Scramble.
Teams of four people played golf, bought items in a silent auction and raffle tickets to help the Jefferson City third grader who became a quadriplegic in a car wreck more than 3 years ago.
The benefit helps Margaret’s family pay for her medical bills.
Margaret’s mother Sherline Romph said, “We just got back from Baltimore. We were gone for 3 weeks. We had 2 weeks of hardcore therapy for 5 to 6 hours a day. Actually, this year she did amazing. She cooperated. She did really, really well.”
