PHELPS COUNTY -- A Rolla man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night.

It happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Interstate 44, two miles west of St. James in Phelps County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 46-year-old Kevin Keeney was driving his motorcycle westbound when he went of the left side of the roadway and hit a cable median barrier.

Keeney was thrown off the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
