The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person or group of people who vandalized a cemetery.

14 tombstones, some dating back to the mid-19^th century, were toppled at the Farwest cemetery on N. Barnes Road, east of Centralia.

A neighbor reported the vandalism on July 4^th. Deputies believe the vandalism happened sometime between May 30^th and the day of the report.

Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS. They’re offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
