(AP) -- Marshall, Mo. (AP) -- An object that prompted the evacuation of a Walmart store in Marshall turned out to be part of a geocaching game.
Explosives experts from Whiteman Air Force Base were brought to the store Wednesday after the device was found by an employee.
Marshall police spokesman Roger Gibson says surveillance cameras showed three males putting the object on a guardrail and then going into the store. He says their suspicious behavior is what prompted the evacuation.
The Marshall Democrat-News reports the object was a tube wrapped in electrical tape with a small metal tab on one end.
The Whiteman team determined the object was harmless and part of a geocaching game.
Geocaching involves groups using the Internet and GPS information to locate different objects.
