A Versailles man is in the hospital this morning after he crashed his motorcycle.

51-year-old James Bowland was riding his motorcycle around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night on Ivy Bend road, less than a mile south of Web Loop.

That’s when the highway patrol said Bowland failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the left side of the road. He hit a rock and was thrown off his bike.

Bowland was taken to the University Hospital in Columbia.

As of right now he is listed in good condition.
