Shots fired call leads Jefferson City police to meth

JEFFERSON CITY -- Jefferson City police were called to the 1000 block of Elizabeth Street early Sunday morning after someone heard shots ring out there.

When authorities arrived, they found two men, one sitting in a car,  and the other walking up to it. 

After searching the men, they found a pistol and methamphetamine hidden in the pants of one suspect, 20-year-old Paulo Cunningham, who is a convicted felon. They arrested Cunningham on Possession on a Controlled Substance and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The other suspect, 29-year-old Sandalio Ingram, was arrested on second degree charges of trespassing.

Both men are being held in Cole County jail.
