Blair Oaks announced new elementary school principal

Friday, Blair oaks school district announced the hiring of its new principal.
Kimberly Rodriguez will join the district next year as the new elementary school principal.
She replaces Lorie Winslow, whose contract was not renewed for the next school year, and which sparked controversy among many parents.
But officials from the district said that the right decision was made in the end.
"We had a team of teachers participate in the evaluation of the applications and the interview process. As well as members of the administrative team and the board of education, and all three of those groups were extremely confident of the abilities of Mrs. Rodriguez to lead our district into the future," said Blair Oaks Superintendent Dr. Jim Jones.
The district is currently planning a meet-and-greet sometime this summer for parents to meet Rodriguez.
We have yet to hear from supporters of Winslow on the district's new hire.
