Joshua J. Gresham, 27, led Morgan County deputies on a chase with speeds going over 105 mph on Thursday morning.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office alerted the Morgan County Sheriff's Office that Gresham was seen driving a white Plymouth passenger car on Highway 52 toward Stover at 7:20 a.m. Morgan County deputies spotted the vehicle at 7:35 and attempted to stop the car. Gresham, however, kept going.

The pursuit went into Pettis and Benton counties until, at 7:55 a.m., the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Highway 52 and Highway A in Benton County.

Gresham, who is from Sedalia, was arrested as he attempted to run from the scene. He had approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine, 29 grams of marijuana and $2,600 in cash with him.

Before being transported to the Morgan County Jail, Gresham was treated at the scene by medical personnel.

A sixteen-year-old female in the vehicle was transported from the scene to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia. She was treated for minor injuries and released.

Gresham was also wanted for an outstanding warrant from the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole for a parole violation. He also had two outstanding warrants from Pettis County.

On April 24, Gresham was involved in another multi-county pursuit where he was not apprehended. Charges from that incident are pending.

Gresham is currently being held in the Morgan County Jail without bond pending the filing of new charges.

The Morgan County Sherifffs Office, the Benton County Sherifffs Office, the Pettis County Sherifffs Office, the Stover Police Department, the Cole Camp Police Department and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force are participating in the ongoing investigation.
