COLUMBIA, MO. -- A Columbia landmark is closing after 29 years of business.

Downtown Columbia business leaders said The Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar is moving into The Boone Tavern Restaurant’s location next to the Boone County Courthouse.

The owners of Bleu Restaurant announced the move on Twitter and said their last day at their current location inside the Tiger Hotel is this Sunday.

Another upscale restaurant is expected to move into the Bleu Restaurant’s current location.

Business leaders said a recent incident involving more than 20 gunshots near Boone Tavern is not related to the restaurant changes.
