The Osage Beach Fire Protection District battled a car fire near Steak-N-Shake on Osage Beach Parkway on Saturday.

Police said just before noon, they were called to the business and found a full sized pick-up truck with fire in the engine compartment in the drive-thru of the restaurant.

Because it was close to the business, the restaurant was evacuated. Firefighters had the blaze under control within five minutes of their arrival.

They were also able to keep the fire away from the building.

The pick-up was a total loss and there were no injuries.
