A food drive with high hopes kicked off Thursday morning.

The One for One Holiday Food Drive hopes to collect a million items in 12 hours. The food drive started at 6:00 a.m. Thursday and lasts until 6:00 p.m.

Volunteers will collect non-perishable food and household items, along with monetary donations at the corner of Broadway and Providence near downtown Columbia.

The donations go to the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, an organization that serves
32 counties.

If
you can't make it to Columbia Thursday, you can drop off food donations at the KRCG station in New Bloomfield.

Leave them at our front door and we'll take them to Columbia for you. Just make sure to drop off the items by 3:00 Thursday afternoon.
