JEFFERSON CITY -- A Jefferson City woman is charged with felony stealing from her place of employment.

A probable cause statement said between September 21 and October 25 Amanda Hoelscher, 28, stole lottery tickets from the Bee Line Snack Shop on Southridge in Jefferson City.

The PC statement said the woman stole almost $13,500 of Missouri Lottery Scratch-Off tickets from the business, then cashed them for more than $6,000 worth of winning tickets from those stolen tickets at various businesses throughout the capital city and Cole County.

All of the illegal activity was captured on the security cameras at the businesses the tickets were stolen from and where they were cashed.

The pc statement also said Hoelscher confessed to the thefts and the cashing of the tickets.

Her first court appearance is January 6.
