A Jefferson City band teacher arrested for sexual contact with a student will make his first court appearance Wednesday.

Chris Knehans' arraignment is Wednesday morning in Cole County Court.

According to an indictment, Knehans knowingly had sexual contact with a female student at Jefferson City High School.

Knehans is on administrative leave.
