Area fire crews battle blaze

HOWARD COUNTY, MO -- Update: Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6:20 p.m.:

The grass fire is under control according to Howard County fire officials. All emergency crews returned to their stations Tuesday evening. There is still no word on what type of building burned.

Firefighters in Howard County are fighting a grass fire that is threatening multiple structures.

According to Howard County Dispatch, the blaze has already brought down one structure and is threatening several others. Harrisburg, Howard County and Boone County are all on scene battling the fire.

According to scanner traffic, 67 acres are currently burning. The fire is on County Road 409A.
