A Boone County man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

The investigation began last December when Facebook employees discovered pictures of suspected child pornography had been uploaded to their site.  They contacted the Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force, who found they came from a computer at 5809 South Bethel Church Road.

Fifty-one-year-old John W. Kitch was arrested last March, and Monday, he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and for promoting child pornography in the first degree.

Kitch received a seven year sentence for each count.
