JEFFERSON CITY -- Two people were arrested Friday after police say they were trying to rob a local business in Jefferson City.
Just before 10:30 Jefferson City Police responded to a burglary alarm at Jim Lewis Tire in the 1300 block of Missouri Blvd.
The alarm company reported entry and the sound of two voices inside a storage area of the business.
When officers got to the scene they saw two people fleeing the scene.
They were both arrested after a short foot pursuit, and are being held in the Cole County Jail pending charges.
There were signs of forced entry to the storage area but there were no items reported missing.
