Boone County officials arrested a local merchant found at his home with several hundred thousand dollars and large amounts of substance they say is synthetic cannibinoid.

Kevin E. Bay, 47, of Old Plank Road, was arrested on Monday after officials served a warrant at his home at the request of the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department and Prosecuting Attorney.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, authorities from the DEA, Columbia Police, Boone County Sheriff's Department and Missouri Department of Revenue all searched the home. They came up with 100 firearms, large amounts of what they believe is synthetic cannibinoid, a large amount of precious metals and several hundred thousand dollars in cash.

Bay operates BoCoMo Bay. He was being held in the Boone County Jail on the outstanding warrant from Stoddard County. Monday evening Bay posted bail on a $250,000 cash only bond. Authorities said the investigation is continuing and additional charges against Bay and another man at the residence at the time of the search warrant are possible.
