University of Missouri curators met Friday afternoon in Kansas City. The meeting happened just as pay-for-play allegations around new basketball coach Frank Haith continue to swirl.
Haith was Miami's head coach for seven years before he was hired by Missouri in April.
A former University of Miami booster told a Yahoo! Sports investigation that Haith approved when he paid Hurricanes recruit DeQuan Jones $10,000 to attend the Florida school.
Haith issued a statement earlier this week saying his reported interactions with disgraced Miami booster Nevin Shapiro did not accurately portray his character, but otherwise declined comment. He also said he is cooperating with an NCAA investigation.
Athletics are not mentioned on an agenda for the curators' meeting, but the board routinely meets behind closed doors to discuss personnel issues.
