Flooding has closed part of the Katy Trail in mid-Missouri.  A roughly two-mile section of the hiking and biking path is closed near Rocheport.  There are detour routes are posted at the trailheads at Rocheport and New Franklin.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed Highway 179 near Sandy Hook because of water over the road.  The section of highway in Moniteau County is one of the first areas to flood whenever the Missouri River rises.

Motorists will need to detour to Route 87 through California and U.S. 50 to get around the flooded area.
