Meth bust lands three in jail

Three men are in jail on meth related charges in Pettis County. The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force worked together on this investigation.

On Wednesday, officers searched the apartment of 29-year-old Darren Pullen of Sedalia in the 6600 block of East Highway 50. Officers found an abandoned methamphetamine lab in the apartment and drug paraphernalia. Officers also located a second abandoned methamphetamine lab in a dumpster in the parking area shared by apartment residents. No one was in the apartment when the warrant was served.

That same morning officers located a boxed methamphetamine lab outside the entry door to apartment number 6 at the same complex. Officer entered the apartment and arrest three male subjects in the apartment. Pullen was in this apartment when officers entered. Officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in this apartment. There were two small children in the apartment. Those children were turned over to the Division of Family Services.

Pullen was charged with the class B felony of manufacturing a controlled substance with a bond of $100,000.00.

29-year-old James Matthew Smith of Sedalia was also charged with the class B felony of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony. His bond was set at $100,000.00.

33-year-old Terry Lee Whittle of Sedalia was charged with the class B felony of manufacturing a controlled substance, a class C felony of possession of a controlled substance and a class D felony of providing materials for the production of a controlled substance. His bond was also set at $100,000.00.
